Aldi, Tesco, Morrisons and Sainsbury’s issue urgent recalls on chocolate, yoghurt, pizza and pasta

Chocolate, yoghurt, pizza and pasta products are among the latest items being pulled from supermarket shelves over safety fears.

Alerts have been issued by the Food Standards Agency (FSA) watchdog in recent days with some items containing salmonella while others could include pieces of metal.

Major UK retailers including Aldi, Tesco, Morrisons and Sainsbury’s are affected by the withdrawals.

If you’ve purchased one of the items that are included in the list below, you shouldn’t eat it.

Customers should instead return the item to the store where they purchased it from for a full refund. You are not likely to need a receipt.

Yoghurt

Frubes Yoghurt Strawberry, Red Berry and Peach Variety Pack

Yoplait UK has issued a safety warning over its Frubes Variety Pack amid fears it could contain pieces of metal.

It is recalling Yoplait Frubes Strawberry, Red Berry and Peach Variety Pack because of the risk.

The FSA said small metal pieces have been found in the peach flavour within the multipack which makes this product unsafe to eat.

Only products with a ‘C’ after the ‘use-by’ date are affected, displayed as ‘09 Feb C’ on the packaging.

Aldi is recalling Moser Roth The Collection Milk, White and Dark Chocolates because they contain egg which is not mentioned on the label.

This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to egg.

Welsh Speciality Foods is recalling Welsh Chunky Piccalilli because it contains mustard which is not mentioned on the label.

The FSA said this means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to mustard.

Supermarkets including Tesco, Aldi, Morrisons and Sainsbury’s are recalling several pastry and dough products after salmonella was detected.

The warning has been issued for ready-to-roll raw pastry and dough products made by Bake Away.

A total of 17 products have been recalled, including supermarket own-brand items and Pizza Express dough and Galberts pastry.
