Bollywood actor-singer Zara Khan reveals about her new single ‘Jogan’: Exclusive

Actor-singer Zara Khan made her Bollywood debut in 2013 Aurangzeb Unlike Arjun Kapoor. He has also done playback in his own film Barbaadiyan. That post was that he was busy making regular music and songs. And now this cute actress has come up with her own single ‘Jogan’.

Actress-singer Zara Khan in an exclusive interview with India’s International Business Times Spread the beans about his singing and acting life, how he landed in the film and why he came out with the music album ‘Jogan’.

Interview parts:

Tell us about your song from acting to singing? How did you shift?

I never really changed when I debuted in Aurangzeb I did my own playback with the Barbadian song, but recently I wanted to try my hand at indie space Khudse Zaida That baby was on the move and then on the way Sajna agreed to do Keya Happy Mars when I was jamming a few songs and preparing them for my solo release. I love both acting and singing so I will try to give my best to both.

Tell me about the supply, how did you come up with the process and some songs in the middle of the lockdown?

Yeah Al that sounds pretty crap to me, Looks like Al that sounds crap to me, Looks like Al that sounds crap to me, Looks like Al that sounds crap to me, Looks like Al that sounds crap to me, Looks like Al that sounds crap to me, Looks like Al that sounds crap to me, Looks like Al that sounds crap to me, Looks like Al that sounds crap to me, Looks like Al that sounds crap to me Couldn’t drive. Jogan was something we were all very confident about and we decided to skip a song and keep it streaming. I just like Tanishq’s song did a great job of making it.

Are you working with Arjun Kapoor in your first film? What attracted you to the script?

For starters, the launch of Yash Raj Films was something that an actor dreamed of and the script was very interesting then.

How has your journey been so long in Bollywood?

Okay, when you come from a movie and music background family it doesn’t feel like traveling as a part of your life but of course once I started working it was completely different in terms of understanding business better and what kind? Content works which is not what I am still learning.

Have you crossed the casting couch?

Really, I didn’t do that but it totally depends on you and how you come and when it happens and sadly I hope it stops so that we can all focus more clearly on talent.

What is your nepotism?

No matter where you start your career, make sure you come from a certain family, but you have to be a star in the end. How much you dedicate to your craft depends on you. Yes, those who are not from the industry will have to fight a bit more to create those opportunities but as I said the clan and a brand have already worked hard enough to inculcate that credibility for future generations.

What are your key remix songs?

I love them, fashion will come back, the kind of denim we wear is already in fashion for ages but do we keep them at rest? Just like when the classic melodies are re-arranged it’s always fun for us to continue with the time and of course keep the classics with respect, but we can’t wear the bellbottoms forever. I personally would love to do a remix of my mom’s song Dil Ke Arman Or Jhum jhum dad.

Upcoming projects?

Unfortunately I have a few shoots due to lockdown but luckily I have wrapped up the shoot of my Kalia Rain film directed by Bikash Khanna and this is a very special film for my work with Shabana Azmi Zia which was my wish list. I’m going to try and work on some songs.
