Hong Kong College states ‘Pillar of Shame’ statue honoring Tiananmen Square useless must appear down

The College of Hong Kong states that a statue having to pay tribute to the victims of China’s brutal crackdown 1989 on protesters at Tiananmen Sq. ought to be eliminated.

The Hong Kong Alliance in Guidance of Patriotic Democratic Movements of China, the now-disbanded group that built the artwork, stated they received a letter from the college to get rid of the statue by future Wednesday at 5 PM, according to Hong Kong Cost-free Press.
