It looks like the novel Coronavirus Epidemic will not leave us anytime soon. Last week, helpers at the home of filmmaker Bonnie Kapoor were reportedly infected with the virus. And today, two staff members at Karan Johar’s house also tested positive.
Karan Johar confirmed the news on his social media handle
Read his post:
I would like to inform you that two members of our house staff have tested positive for COVID-19. As soon as the signs were identified, they were set aside in a part of our building. The BMC was immediately notified, and the building was stripped and sterilized by them in accordance with the policy.
He has tested negative
The rest of the family and staff are safe and show no signs. We all took swab tests this morning and tested negative, but will remain in self-isolation for the next 14 days to protect everyone around us. We are committed to protecting everyone and ensuring that all measures set by the authorities are strictly adhered to.
The filmmakers will take the utmost care of the staff
We will also ensure that they receive the best treatment and care during their illness, and we are confident that they will fight to get fit soon! These are difficult times but sitting in our house and taking proper precautions, I have no doubt in our minds that we can defeat this virus. Everyone stay home and stay safe.
Ironically Karan broke the sad news just minutes after celebrating his birthday with his family.
Here hopefully Karan Johar’s house helpers will recover soon.
