Jason Knauf, chief govt of The Royal Foundation, said he hopes viewers will be ‘inspired’ by the series.

‘The tv and radio series together with the awards ceremony will celebrate the outstanding Earthshot Prize Finalists, whilst inspiring and tough all of us to perform our part in this decisive decade for the planet.’

An awards ceremony for the inaugural Earthshot Prize at Alexandra Palace in London on Oct 17 will also be aired on BBC 1.
