Earlier, in January, Pritam said he had always wanted to establish a musical platform like ‘JM8’ that would ease the struggles of emerging music composers and lyricists in the country. He was talking to the media at the launch of ‘JM8’ with Mumbai’s Karan Johar, Kabir Khan, Imtiaz Ali and Advait Chandan.
In collaboration with Jam 8 and Kwan, Prime Focus plans to deliver the best in terms of high quality infrastructure and technology that meets all kinds of sonic requirements.
Commenting on his initiative, Pritam said, “The idea of JM8 has been on my mind for a long time because there is no incubation studio in India. I fought a lot when I came to Mumbai. Because it wasn’t very organized then but I always felt that there should be a place where young lyricists and musicians can train and learn about the craft. “
Pritam said he wanted to reduce the upcoming talent struggle in the country. “Many talented people in our country don’t know the direction. We fought a lot when we came here to start a music career, but I wanted to reduce the struggles of future generations.”
Pritam said that Jam 8 is one of the best studios not only in India but in the whole of Asia. “I feel it’s one of the best studios in Asia. It’s built to inspire new talent in our country. We want to give them world-class opportunities.”
Talking about music composer Pritam’s new venture, Kabir Khan said, “I think Pritam is really building a good platform and from this platform new talent will get a break in the music industry.”
