Southwest flight attendant hospitalized following alleged assault by passenger

A flight attendant for Southwest Airlines was hospitalized Saturday right after she was allegedly assaulted by a passenger boarding a flight to New York Metropolis from Dallas Enjoy Area.

The assault, which took place close to 12:40 p.m., included an allegedly unruly female passenger who law enforcement discovered as Arielle Jean Jackson, 32.

Jackson “boarded the airplane and went straight to the back” where she had a “verbal altercation with a flight attendant who instructed the suspect to go away the plane,” law enforcement claimed in a statement to Fox Information.

The suspect then “went to the entrance of the airplane exactly where she experienced another verbal altercation with one more flight attendant” and started “hitting her with a shut fist to the head,” law enforcement extra.

Jackson has been arrested and charged with aggravated assault. The flight attendant, according to police, was transported to a clinic and was in “steady affliction.”

“We have a Station Supervisor with her at the hospital with the entire assist of her Southwest Relatives sending our feelings, prayers, and love,” the airline stated in a statement to Fox News. “Southwest Airlines maintains a zero-tolerance coverage pertaining to any kind of harassment or assault and entirely aid our Worker as we cooperate with community authorities regarding this unacceptable incident.”
