The actress was accused of keeping a gold pendant in her purse at a jewelery shop in Pashmal. According to a report in India Today, the talented actress bought gold earrings worth Rs 12,139 on CCTV in her handbag at a mythology boutique in Singapore. The store owner then took the matter to the Darpan Festival for which the actress went to Singapore. The owner demanded that the actress pay for the earrings or return them to them. He chose not to file a police complaint against the actress.

Swastika said she bought the jewelry. However, according to reports, he could not make a receipt for the earrings and later said it was probably “accidental”. “I don’t know how it went in my bag. Probably, it happened by accident. But I bought jewelry from the store and got receipts for other items,” the website quoted the actress as saying.
