With a new Marks and Spencer food hall coming to Derby this year, a look inside another specialist branch has given city shoppers an idea of what to expect.
The retail giant’s new store, located next to the A52 on Wyvern Way, is now well under construction and is expected to open sometime in 2022.
As the new branch continues to take shape ahead of its opening, a total of 13 opportunities to work there are being advertised on the M&S website, which you can read about in our jobs story here.

Once open, it will join its two Derby food outlets already trading at Kingsway Retail Park and on the ground-floor of its department store at Derbion.
Building work on the new M&S food hall started in autumn when pictures showed how the main infrastructure of the building was firmly in place. A large car park will also be created next to the store.
The new building replaces the former Fireplace Company building which was demolished earlier this year as part of the planning permission which was approved by Derby City Council.
The demolished building was believed to be the last surviving element of the former Chaddesden Sidings – a marshalling yard used to transport goods – and had stood for around 150 years.
Derbyshire Live has approached Marks and Spencer to find out more details about when the store will open.
For now, a look inside the M&S Foodhall at Two Rivers Shopping Centre, Mustard Mill Road, in Staines, Surrey, has given customers a taste of what to expect, Surrey Live reports.
